Matcha Pomodoro Timer
A full-screen Pomodoro timer in matcha green and cream: three session types, one oversized clock and nothing else on the page. Pick Focus, Short Break or Long Break, press start, and work until the chime.
The 25 / 5 / 15 rhythm
The default sessions follow the classic Pomodoro pattern: 25 minutes of focus, a 5 minute short break, and a 15 minute long break after roughly four rounds. Focus sessions hand over to a short break automatically, so the only decision left is when to take the long one — usually when you notice the fourth round getting harder than the first.
Why full screen
A timer squeezed into a card competes with everything around it. Filling the screen with one photograph and one number removes that competition: there is nothing to click, nothing to read, nothing to decide. Leave it open on a second monitor, or use the pop-out button to float the countdown above your editor as a small always-on-top pill.
Controls
- Start / Pause — the button in the middle; the hairline at the bottom of the screen shows how much of the session is gone.
- Reset — back to the full length of the current session.
- Settings — adjust the running session in 5 minute steps, or switch on always on top.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the other timer?
Same engine, different design. This variant is full-screen with three session types; the original is a compact dark card with a progress ring and a focus/break pair. Both are free and run entirely in your browser.
Does the timer keep running in a background tab?
Yes. The countdown is anchored to the clock rather than to the tab being active, so it stays accurate — and a chime plus a slow pulse of light mark the end of every session.
