Study Together Timer
Studying with friends works best when everyone is on the same clock. This free timer turns one link into a shared Pomodoro session: whoever opens it lands in the same focus or break, down to the second. No rooms to create, no accounts, no app to install — it just counts from a shared start time.
Start a shared session now
- Press play on the timer above (25 / 5 is preset).
- Open the gear menu and click Copy invite link.
- Paste the link into your group chat, Discord channel or video call.
Schedule a session for later
Before the start time the timer shows a countdown; then it cycles focus → break → focus on its own. The time is stored as a universal timestamp, so friends in other time zones start at exactly the same moment.
Good uses
- Discord study servers: pin a link with a fixed daily start, e.g. 50 / 10 from 9:00 — or pin the always-open Study Hall.
- Body doubling: work "next to" a friend on a call — see the body doubling timer.
- Word wars: writing groups sprint together — try the writing sprint timer.
- Classrooms and libraries: project one shared rhythm for a whole room.
- Study streams: give viewers the same cycle as your OBS overlay.
Questions
Do my friends need an account?
No. They open the link and the timer is already running in sync.
What if someone pauses?
Only their own timer pauses. Reloading the link snaps them back into the shared session.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. The link contains the focus length, break length and start time; each browser works out the rest from its own clock.
